Everyday Magic: Makerlab Sunday Skill Shares at IGLOO Gallery

Every Sunday since July of 2008 I have hosted a weekly event at my house/gallery. Part potluck, part collaborate freeskool, part performance, part skillshare, we have gathered together any number of people who wanted to come and share their projects.

Sunday Skill Shares started out as a friendlier, less stressful version of our weekly Makerlab Meetings and have evolved into a playful group gathering.

Everyone is encouraged to bring projects and ideas to work on and to share with others. The premise is simple; I help you and you help me and together we can get anything accomplished.

Over the past seven months we have created websites, and web applications, learned about arduinos and RFID tags, taught ourselves how to make beer, watched various documentaries, held collective readings, done improv performance videos, performed derive-style hikes around the city, cooked a series of dinners for anywhere from 5- 30 people, held beer tastings, screened old movies and just released documentaries, held dance parties, created drawings, and many more events all in the spirit of creating a positive extracurricular community.

Each Skillshare is free and open to the public, we do ask that you bring something to eat or offer someone else to share.

To sign up for the mailing list please email me at paigesaez at gmail dot com and I will put you on the list for our events.
